    Waste of $2

Waste of $2. Poorly written with constantly flipping POV. Reads like a first grader book. Did not finish. Very one dimensional, see spot run, sort of writing.

Whispers From the Bayou, Book 1. Once you've been to Whispers, you'll never want to leave!

Carolena Ashlar is a most unique young lady: lovely, educated, well-spoken, and intuitive beyond measure. But there are things even she doesn't know. To escape her father's callous disregard and attempts to marry her off, she heads for southern Louisiana. She never expects what she finds! Kidnapped by her father's employee and his brothers, Carolena rushes headlong into the Louisiana swamps. Just as she's a

Who wouldn't want a big, strong, loyal male like Carnage? He is awesome!

I liked Carolena - an extraordinarily strong-willed woman of her time.

Ms Neeley has written a fascinating world of supernaturals down in the swamps of Louisiana. I'm looking forward to exploring it in future books!

I never thought that I would find a sexier supernatural than a wolf shifter or vampire, but I have. The sexy gargoyle Carnage changed my mind. There was just something about his alpha protective ways that reached my heart. The way he claimed his Lenna was awesome. There were so many sweet, sexy , and mysterious times in this book. I am lover of supernatural stories that surround my home state and neighboring Louisiana. This story makes me want to take a weekend to the swamp, and see if I can't f ...more

This is an exciting and beautiful story

I rate the book 5 stars because it completely takes you away , I was swept into the book from beginning to end I couldn't put it down and I agree without darkness there can't be light. So I have to say, she is an amazing writer the storyline will keep you the entire time , literally beginning to end spectacular!!! I highly recommend this book for anyone needing that little escape , I'm so happy the book caught my eye!! Thank you Sandra

    DNF at 30%

I was lucky to read several good books in a row, including superb Iron and Magic, so, I guess my tolerance level for beyond mediocre is at the lower end.

I love gargoyles and Carnage is a sweetie but something about the writing itself is rubbing me raw – small town/ bayou setting does not automatically require simplifying character’s depiction and dialogue to such extent that it stops being charmingly naïve and becomes annoyingly childish with a hefty dose of stupid. A villainous hick

    Wasnt sure what to expect

Im not generally a write a review type of reader, i will leave stars and thats typically it. But i have to say the reason im leaving a review is it is really a great book.

I wasnt too sure since it was about a ugly non speaking Gargoyle BUT it wasnt anything like I thought it would be.

The woman in the story wasn't to tough nor was she a push over either.

There was a whole lot of graphic sex in ot ro make it gross. It was so food i couldn't put it down. I work graveyards an

    Marvellous Monsters!

Think Beauty and the Beast mixed with Casper the Friendly Ghost and stir with some steamy passion and you have Carnage. Stone statues have never been more sexy! I loved this book.
